Celebrating a Successful United Way Campaign

November 02, 2022

After a companywide fundraising campaign, Chesapeake and its employees raised $900,000 for local United Way chapters across four states. From participating in special events to donating through payroll deduction, employees gave generously to support our neighbors in need.

“I want to thank our employees for reflecting Chesapeake’s values and giving back to our communities,” said Chesapeake CEO Nick Dell’Osso. “By pooling our donations, we can meet our communities’ greatest needs and create lasting change through our long-standing partnership with the United Way.”

Fundraising totals were announced during an annual tailgate celebration in Oklahoma City at our corporate campus. The celebration was a culmination of fundraising activities including raffle ticket sales, a silent auction for parking spaces, a 5K run/1-mile walk, a duck derby and a cornhole tournament. Our field offices also hosted engaging events including cornhole tournaments, chili tastings, barbeques and golf tournaments.

United Way of Central Oklahoma President and CEO Debby Hampton attended the tailgate event to thank Chesapeake employees in person.

“The United Way of Central Oklahoma has 54 partner agencies that operate 102 programs — facilitating more than 660,000 connections to critical services,” said Hampton. “We could never have reached this level of impact without Chesapeake’s unwavering support. We can always count on Chesapeake employees to be generous both in Oklahoma City and the company’s other areas of operation. Thank you on behalf of United Way and the people who need our services for a healthy future.”
