FAQs

Once a job application is received, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you don’t receive this email, you can log into our job portal and check the status of your application.

Thank you for your patience! We suggest logging into our job portal where you will be able to see the status of your application. To help ensure we’re reviewing everyone fairly, we wait to review all applications until after the job “closes” (meaning the job post is taken down from our website).

We appreciate you putting so much effort into your job application. We recommend updating your resume based on the job description (including keywords) and making sure you’re highlighting your unique qualities, skills and experience. Don’t forget to include any concrete numbers that show how you’ve impacted past organizations and proofread your document.

Congratulations! Your first interview will either be via video or in-person. If it’s a virtual interview, we recommend dressing professionally as we’ve found that dressing a little “smarter” makes you feel more confident.

This first interview will be with a hiring manager who will ask about your background and tell you more about the position. It should last 30 – 45 minutes.

We certainly understand technical challenges, and this will not reflect negatively on your interview! Your best bet is to email your HR contact directly. He or she may be able to help you troubleshoot or you both can connect via phone.

At Chesapeake, we “dress for your day,” meaning employees wear everything from jeans to suits depending on their job responsibilities on a given day. We recommend dressing professionally so that you feel most confident. Below are a few outfit examples we recommend (note: field interviews may be more casual):

  • Suit with or without a tie
  • Trousers / dress / skirt with a blazer
  • Trousers / skirt with a collared shirt or sweater

Chesapeake supports all candidates, including those in need of an accommodation, during any stage of the candidate experience and/or application process. Please contact 877-245-1427 or HR@chk.com to get started.
