Giving Back to Our Communities

Our core values drive us to be responsible members of the communities where we operate, including partnering with nonprofit organizations to strengthen the places we call home. Our engagement is built upon intentional partnerships with nonprofits, sharing both our resources and the power of our people.

Why We Give

Being a responsible operator means helping our neighbors. We strive to create sustainable, beneficial impacts by partnering with communities and investing in projects that align with local needs and business priorities.

In alignment with our core values, we have four primary giving focus areas:

  • STEM Education
  • Environment
  • Emergency & Disaster Response
  • Community Development

Organizations must:

  • Be 501(c)(3) certified or an accredited educational institution.
  • Operate in areas where we do business, which can be found here.
  • Have a Non-Discrimination Policy (or have it in place by year-end 2023).

Our charitable guidelines prohibit us from supporting individuals and certain types of organizations, causes and fundraising activities, such as:

  • Religious or partisan causes
  • Fraternal organizations, including college fraternities and sororities
  • Advertising solicitations

Please note, once you logon, there are three separate grants for: Oklahoma City, Northeast Pennsylvania and Northwest Louisiana funding. Please be sure to click on the correct region. Organizations applying for the first time will be required to create a new profile and then will be able to apply for possible funding.

In 2023, we donated $4 million to nonprofit partners across our four charitable giving areas.

A United Way Partner

In tandem with our charitable giving program, we host annual companywide fundraising campaigns to benefit local United Way chapters. Through a variety of employee-driven activities and events, our corporate campus and field offices raise awareness and collect donations for the organization and its beneficiaries.

Chesapeake and our employees raised nearly $900,000 for local United Way chapters across three states in 2023. From participating in special events to donating through payroll deduction, employees gave generously to support our neighbors in need.
